BIOHIT ColonView® quick test (FIT)
Dual-marker approach for colorectal cancer screening and diagnostics
Colorectal cancer and other lower gastrointestinal (GI) pathologies can develop silently. Early detection of occult blood in stool is a critical step in identifying patients who may require further diagnostic evaluation. The BIOHIT ColonView quick test gives a high analytical sensitivity for detecting fecal occult blood, supporting the identification of lower gastrointestinal bleeding and indicating the need for further diagnostic evaluation.
BIOHIT ColonView® quick test is a qualitative fecal immunochemical test (FIT) designed for the rapid detection of fecal occult blood (FOB) in stool samples. The test detects two biomarkers: hemoglobin (Hb) and the hemoglobin/haptoglobin complex (Hb/Hp). By combining these two biomarkers, BIOHIT ColonView® quick test provides a broader view of gastrointestinal bleeding than single-marker tests. This dual-marker approach makes the test a superior screening and diagnostic tool.

BIOHIT ColonView quick test measures:
Hemoglobin (Hb): especially suitable for detecting bleeding from the distal colon and rectum.
Hemoglobin/haptoglobin complex (Hb/Hp): a more stable marker that may indicate bleeding from more proximal parts of the colon.
