GA-map Dysbiosis Test

Overview

The GA-map Dysbiosis test is as a gut microbiota DNA analysis tool to identify and characterize dysbiosis in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and Inflammatory Bowel Syndrome (IBS) patients.

It provides reproducible and precise results with a high-throughput, easy-to-use method that quantifies the extent of dysbiosis from a stool sample. Due to these qualities, the test is especially suitable for clinical use.

The test contains 54 DNA probes targeting more than 300 species of gut bacteria which are used to profile the microbiota. Each sample is compared to a normal reference population. The GA-map Dysbiosis Analyzer software will automatically compare the patient bacteria levels to what is found in a healthy control population. The degree of deviation from this control population (dysbiosis) is indicated with a dysbiosis index. A score of 3 - 5 indicates increasing levels of dysbiosis.
