Neural and neuroendocrine cells are able to synthesize a variety of peptides as well as amino acids that can function either as inhibitory or stimulatory substances in neurotransmission. Such neurotransmitter substances are gammaamino butyric acid (GABA(12)) and calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP).
100 µg immunoglobulin in 1 ml PBS solution containing 1.0% (w/v) BSA and 0.1% (w/v) sodium azide.
The product is for research use only. The performance
characteristics of this product have not been established. Use in human
clinical diagnosis is the responsibility of the user. This product
should be stored
at +2 … +8 °C.
Monoclonal antibody to GABA is derived from the hybridoma produced by fusion between myeloma cells and Balb/c spleen cells. GABA-coupled to BSA with glutaraldehyde was used as an immunogen.
Specificity
The antibody is highly specific to GABA and
does not react with other amino acid-BSA conjugates with the exception
of weak reaction against b-alanine
BSA-conjugate at the highest concentrations used.
Applications
Fluorescence microscopy and other
immunohistochemical methods, works also on frozen sections if perfusion
fixed. Glutaraldehyde must be included in the fixative with paraffin
sections.

PEPTIDE )clone CD8 (IgG1)

Monoclonal antibody to CGRP is derived from the hybridoma produced by fusion between myeloma cells and Balb/c spleen cells. A terminal fragment of CGRP-coupled to BSA with glutaraldehyde was used as an immunogen.
Specificity
The antibody is highly specific to CGRP and
does not react with other neuropeptides. The antibody works at least on
human and guinea pig tissues, but does not work on rat tissues.
Applications
ELISA, fluorescence microscopy, and other
immunohistochemical methods, works also on frozen sections if perfusion
fixed. Paraformaldehyde must be included in the fixative with paraffin
sections. Works also in western blotting with BSA-conjugated samples.
